Even though my grandma watched the show to watch the cooking (and the silly things Julia often said), I also watched the kitchen. Copper was a staple in Julia's kitchen, and to be honest, for a long time I thought the kitchen was the only room in the house that contained copper.

Gold and brass made a comeback a few years ago, but since I'm a bit late to the trends (i.e., I'd better wait for the trend to stay classic), they're starting to show up in our homes. during the last year.

To me, copper always looks warm, while gold and brass can rock on the cool side. Copper accessories are a natural match for fall sweater vibes, pumpkins, and comfort foods. Doesn't this gorgeous Thanksgiving table look inviting? Warm copper accessories such as the double boiler and chairs pair beautifully with the cool tones of the blue runner and green eucalyptus.

If your home, like mine, has a lot of oil rubbed bronze, gold, brass, or satin nickel (does that happen yet?), consider adding some copper for variety and warmth. I have always loved copper art, I think it started when my mother-in-law gifted me some pieces. No, don't forgive what I said in the car all those years ago when they were visiting family! Like the gorgeous antique copper flower pot above. I don't know what its main purpose is in the narrow profile, but it allows it to fit on this mantel. If you like vintage copper home accessories, they are very easy to find these days. This is one of the things to look out for when saving!

Copper in the kitchen can be functional, and in the fall I'll be clearing out most of my pantry. If you're into copper home accessories, you can polish it up...literally, and I love the COPPER GLITTER that I recently started using! Removing a few pieces of copper can cause a feeling of collapse, and this simple procedure takes 20 minutes or less. Since we had a drop-down space and no hood to hang them on, I hung a few French copper pans on the wall with simple nails. Not only does it add shine, I use these pans a lot when I cook.

Our large vintage copper bucket is just one of the items we use for many purposes. I filled it with extra pillows and a throw for fall, plus it held a large bouquet of flowers, ice, and cold drinks for the party! Fall doesn't require a lot of pumpkins and can be a simple offering of the season. In this article from the archives, I talked about pumpkin free fall. I am always exploring new home accessories with copper and bronze tones. Lately I've been looking for ways to incorporate copper into my home theme. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite copper home accessories. Copper really brings a modern feel to a room and gives it a subtle color. If you've seen my home, you'll know that I love pastels and neutral tones. I think copper goes well with black and white themes as well as pastels and neutrals. Of course, as I get older, my passions, interests and hobbies change. I find myself more into home style and even food style. I like to take the time to spruce up my shelves and move the decor around so it's fresh and different. Styling has become every aspect of my daily life. I think if I were born again, I would pay more attention to this matter when I was young. I want to win the lottery, move, renovate different houses and decorate every room. I love that my kids are a bit older now and it's another excuse to redecorate their rooms. It's also another excuse to shop for home accessories that I absolutely love and home decor items that I avoided for so long when I was still a kid.

I create more space in my house instead of play areas and toy storage boxes. Now it's time to add some little touches that show my personality on my desk or in my bedroom. I think these copper home accessories just scream me!! I also love anything small and cute. Who doesn't? Hexagon shapes are a great style that's on trend right now, whether it's shelves like the one above or shaped mirrors, they draw your eye to that part of the wall and make it the focal point of the room. I love home accessories that can do just that.

Tea lights and photo frames are indispensable for me in every home. Tea lights add mood and emotion to a room, and photo frames bring memories. I think your home style should be like an extension of you and your family. My house is slowly becoming what I want it to be. I would spend hours tearing through the pages of home decor magazines and adding them to my collection for my forever home one day. But I love how styles and trends are constantly changing and make an impact forever in magazines or on Instagram. I don't think my house will be the same for a long time.
